CBD for Migraines, Cannabinoids for Migraines - How the Endocannabinoid System may be responsive to phytocannabinoids - news and research from That's Natural at

Whether it be something in our personal life, school work, or our job, we have all had headaches or migraines that seem impossible to get rid of. We drink water, some of us take Tylenol, Advil, or some other over-the-counter medicine, while others resort to sleep or prescription drugs like Imitrex. We all have our own way of handling these unpleasant, and painful migraines/headaches. Well, another possible treatment is available for us to try that is all natural and organic!

This study starts off by recognizing that our endocannabinoid system is involved in processing pain signals to our body. It goes on to say:

"This finding is corroborated by the evidence that endocannabinoids inhibit, through a cannabinoid type-1 receptor (CB1R)-dependent retrograde mechanism, the release of neurotransmitters controlling nociceptive inputs and that the levels of these lipids are high in those regions (such as sensory terminals, skin, dorsal root ganglia) known to be involved in transmission and modulation of pain signals."

The study then goes on to describe that there is a link between endocannabinoids and migraines.

Although the exact ECS-dependent mechanisms underlying migraine are not fully understood, the available results strongly suggest that activation of ECS could represent a promising therapeutical tool for reducing both the physiological and inflammatory components of pain that are likely involved in migraine attacks.

Although more research is suggested, it does seem promising that cannabinoids like cannabidiol (CBD) can be helpful in treating migraines. Maybe it is time for us to step out of our comfort zone and try more natural methods of treatment.

Being in business for over 10 years, That’s Natural believes in providing pure, potent, and trusted products. Therefore, we provide 100% traceability of where our hemp comes from. Our CBD rich oils and cremes are all full spectrum products.
