Delta-8 Products Aren't Natural
You can drive around most anywhere and see "Delta-8" gummies, vapes, and other products advertised.
Retail establishments are touting these as "CBD products that can give you a high" or "Legal THC" - misleading consumers on two fronts.
First, you need to understand WHY Delta-8 even became "a thing". The answer? Synthesizing and transforming that CBD into a "legal" product that can "relieve stress and anxiety" while also potentially getting you "high".

The conversion of CBD to delta-8-THC involves refluxing CBD in an organic solvent, such as toluene or heptane, with p-toluenesulfonic acid or another acid that serves as a catalyst. The reaction is typically run for 60–90 min...
“These are pretty aggressive synthetic conditions that use strong acids,” Hudalla says. “They might be using strong bases to neutralize. They can use metal catalysts. I hear different people doing it different ways.” In a pharmaceutical environment, PhD chemists ensure that products don’t include harmful unconsumed reactants, he says. But nobody is measuring the pH of delta-8 products or testing for strong acids and residual metals that are left behind, he says.
